Not good enough for my dog!

At first I was very pleased and impressed with the seemingly organized and clean place, but after a few very major incidences I began to realize that this was not a good place or even a safe place for my child. They run this place like an assembly line without any personal attention to the children. The number of children in each class is huge and the teachers are very inexperienced and most of them look like they don't want to be there (and if you don't absolutely LOVE kids, then what is keeping you at this job - the great pay???:)) But the incident that finalized it for me - was when two of my boy's friends in his class managed to push the fire escape door and escaped into the busy parking lot (open to a very dangerous road with speeding cars). I only heard of this incident by chance from another mom. Apparently, the teachers were busy doing something else and didn't hear the alarm (that was supposedly working) and the kids were stopped from heading further into the parking lot by other parents who fortunately were coming toward the entrance to pick up their kids. A very tragic outcome was aborted but I could not look past this and took out my child soon after fearing for his safety. We are very happy at a different, smaller preschool now where my boy is given the very personal attention and the nurturing that he deserves (and no scary incidences to report! since they really do genuinely care about their kids there!). Goddard with all the bells and whistles looks good on first impression but I wouldn't trust them to care for my dog to be honest with you!

Do not go to Monkey Tree! Do not sign anything! Even though I only sent my son there once, they charged me for two months of daily daycare. They never sent a bill and sent my account straight to a collection agency and manufactured fake documents. Can you believe it? The collection agency finally threw out this case, but I had to spend many hours trying to resolve this.

we had a really hard time with our first childcare which was a center, Tanya offered our daughter a loving home enviroment and we all loved it.
We sadly moved on to school but would take our other children there in the future.

I have used Pitter Patter for child care for the last 4 years for both my sons. I have to disagree strongly with Wishfulthinkin about this facility. I have always found the facility to be tidy, well lit, colorful, and full of love and music! The faculty there has changed as well as the management over the last few years but this center always seems to bounce back to greatness. Any time I have expressed concern as a parent, my concerns have been heard, and problems have been corrected. Perhaps Wishfulthinkin did not express his/her concerns to the right person. My children have been cared for very well and I would never take them elsewhere. I recommend Pitter Patter for any family for the ease and peace of mind of knowing your children are being well taken care for and loved while you work!

i had these people watch my child for 1 week. I thought they were nice and very polite at first. One day i arrived unannounced and my kid was playing in the back yard unsupervised and back door was open. the house sits next to a fairly busy street. a neighbor also warned me that during the day they constantly yell and lots of traffic/people in and out of the house. Just a gut feeling that it's not a safe place.

the director has a nasty attitude like they did not need my money or my child. As I walked around touring the center, the director and I talked w/the teacher for a brief minute. during the time i was talking w/the teacher, she was not focus on the children. there were two children hit and on one another and they were loud. the teacher did not look to see what was going on. i had to mention the event to the teacher in order for her to turn around.

Owner very unprofessional in dealing with problems. Acts as if she is doing you an awesome service by letting you have your child attend when it is a something you pay her to provide and agree to all stated in the student handbook.

Declining standards

My family has become increasingly dissatisfied with school at BBC. Over the last 6 months the level of care and attention to detail has become woefully inadequate resulting in the abrupt withdrawal of our child from their institution. Recently the school opened a new location and the director of the school is preoccupied with that facility. The leadership left behind is inexperienced, unqualified, and unprofessional. The faculty has a high level of turn over resulting in a general unfamiliarity with the children and procedures. The number of accident report for our daughter since the change in leadership has increased at a rate that could no longer be ignored. When an accident report was received it was incomplete and inaccurate. On several occasions we were not informed of the incident by the staff and had to find out from our daughter. We used to have a wonderful opinion of School at BBC but we feel obligated to inform potential parents of the general incompetence.

Most child care centers are operated in high regards to the regulations put forth my local city, county, and state rules. However some facilities have been found negligent in the past. When evaluating a child care center ask quesions about the age of infants and children accepted, drop in childcare policies, and what childcare solutions are available in your price range. Childcare forms often ask questions about vouchers, tax credits and household income to determine what the rates and overall costs to you are. Childcare workers are ofen certified and highly qualified and licensed to provide assistance to any situation you might need.
