Newest Washington Reviews & Comments:
*****  Word of mouth referral : )
by Happy Mom on January 8th, 2010
on Evergreen Christian Montessori
Evergreen Christian Montessori for 3-6 yr. olds in Federal Way.(253-942-7564) we've gone to this school for over 1 year now.
(it's a home that turned into a school)
With 2 teachers on average 12 students in morning class & 12 students in afternoon class. so the student teacher ratio is 1:6 which is AWESOME!

I was referred by 2-3 parents that had their children there & they gave me RAVE reviews about it! I went from a Nanny or Family watching my children to this being the first full preschool experience for them.

My children have learned so much since we have been there!
They can write their names including my horrendously long last name
They can do double digit addition math problems, can write words & sound out letters! They study animals, flowers, landforms, water forms, countries, flags, weather, etc.
My Children are ONLY 5 now.

It's not uncommon for the kids that come from our preschool test into regular school with 1-3rd grade skill level.
Unfortunately, they don't have a website but you can arrange a walk threw w/ the Teacher when her schedule permits.

Check it out! I was referred by Happy Parents, now you have been referred~ This school has thrived through word of mouth, which most businesses cant say!

on Daynette's Daycare
My son attends daycare at Daynette's. They have been flexible with my work schedule, and fit my son in when there was an emergency. My son seems to be content when we arrive for check-in, and is smiling when I come to pick him up. The staff is very friendly, and always have a positive attitude towards all the children who are in their care.

I would not reccoment this daycare at all. My son went there and several items came up missing due to a worker at the daycare that stole things. I do not know who it was exactly, but feel the daycare did not do all they could to redeem the items that had gone missing. There was $200+ worth of my sons things that were never returned. I do not feel that this daycare really pays attention to these kids either. It is run poorly.

I would have to say this daycare was the unsanitary disgusting child care center I've ever seen. If you care about your children please do not leave them in Mz. ********'s care.
*****  FAILS TO MEET MINIMUMS

on Kids R Special Learning Center
My child went to this daycare for 6 months. During those 6 months, there was VERY high teacher turnover – 5 teachers quit/were fired and 2 more never bothered to show for their fist day of work. The classrooms in the morning were consistently over filled with kids and understaffed (in violation of state minimum requirements). On one occasion, my husband dropped off our daughter to find that there was NO teacher in the classroom (she had left multiple toddlers alone in the room in order to let out the daycare dog). I constantly found myself waiting with my child in the morning for another teacher to come in so that there would be adequate supervision. On one of my child’s last days, I dropped her off only to find that there were 10 toddlers under age 2 with only 1 teacher (not the first time this had happened)! Fed up with this constant practice of understaffing, I finally called in a complaint to Department of Early Learning the very next morning before dropping my daughter off (DEL is the State agency that oversees all licensed childcare in WA). The DEL licensor paid a visit to the Daycare that same day and many violations were found. I received an email from Alina, the director, that evening. She terminated my child without notice from the daycare, indicating in her email that the reason was due to the fact that I called in a complaint to the State for her violations. However, I am not posting this review in order to make disparaging comments about Alina, but rather, to inform parents of the practice of this facility to continually violate the State MINIMUM requirements set forth by DEL (minimums are there for a reason – and what does it say about a daycare when they are not even meeting the minimum requirements!). Please do not take my word for it – you can contact any licensed daycare’s DEL licensor simply by looking up their name and number on the DEL website: www.del.wa.gov and speaking to them about any facility. Simply go to the website and click on the blue link towards the middle of the page entitled “A childcare provider’s licensing and complaint history”. The licensors are very open to providing parents with information.

Child Care Information

Most child care centers are operated in high regards to the regulations put forth my local city, county, and state rules. However some facilities have been found negligent in the past. When evaluating a child care center ask quesions about the age of infants and children accepted, drop in childcare policies, and what childcare solutions are available in your price range. Childcare forms often ask questions about vouchers, tax credits and household income to determine what the rates and overall costs to you are. Childcare workers are ofen certified and highly qualified and licensed to provide assistance to any situation you might need.
