Rigid thinking and no clear academic/developmental direction. Although J&J is a nursery and preschool as well as after school, I don't think they are effective. The staff is much older than I think is necessary for the particular age group which means that patience can be quite short with children who are a bit more spirited. The owner definitely does not have patience with high energy children. They have plenty of activities, especially during the summer, but in terms of educating the preschooler, I didn't see much at all. They've been around forever, more than 50 years. Perhaps it is time to pass the torch on to some younger educators to take the school to the next level. The rigidness of the teachers leaves much to be desired.

Former employee..Would not put my own child in this center!! Breaking many state regulations and interactions with children is disgraceful! Look somewhere else if you want your children to have quality care.

OMG my child loves this place! I as a parent gladly drop my child off at this center every morning. My two year old learns so much here and he really loves his teacher. However occasionally some of his things get lost such as his hat or gloves but you know kids will be kids. This day-care has a nice homey feel and the teachers work closely with all of there students.

When evaluating a child care center ask quesions about the age of infants and children accepted, drop in childcare policies, and what childcare solutions are available in your price range. Childcare forms often ask questions about vouchers, tax credits and household income to determine what the rates and overall costs to you are. Childcare workers are ofen certified and highly qualified and licensed to provide assistance to any situation you might need.
