The children look very happy at this school. The teachers interact well with the students and are very nice. My 4 year old goes to this school and every time I pick her up she is very happy and tells me about her wonderful day. I am very please with the curriculum and activities at this school. It helps the children grow, learn and enjoy their time at school all at once.

My daughter attended this day care for a year, before going to pre-k. We were very happy with the progress she made. Now she is finishing K in a very good public schuool, but we are still planning to send her to this day care during the summer. We love it.

They have actually moved to the New Utrecht Location on 72nd Street. They no longer have computers, and the backyard is bare. The director is a wonderful lady who knows how to deal with parents and all sorts of issues. The staff is actually constantly changing, which is a major con. It is overpriced, but you get the smallest ratios in town. Kids are happy and they are great with setting routine.

Don't follow daily schedules parents give them, and don't work with the parents as much as other daycares do. They want to do their own thing, especially Miss ******. Look at all of your options.

This is a big day care center. But nobody in there don't care about your child. We came there to see it from inside and what we saw was:
- Chaos in groups
- Group with babies from 1 to 2 were all on their own. Teachers don't play with them, not saying they teaching them something.
- None of the electronic toy my daughter picked there worked.
- All the toys were dirty
- Staff that doesn't know basics of language (english/russian) and basics of toddlers psychology.
- Teachers speak to kids very little.

Teaching Staff Need Training

My child was 3 years old when he entered this school. Due to the staff's lack of training with children, my child had issues adjusting. there was a particular staff member, who would often chastise my son for crying while he was going thru his seperation phase. She made her own assessment that my child needed a psych. evaluation. When I went to the psych. appt. with my child, the psych. reported that she had no right to make that assessment and that she needed to be evaluated. The child was normally going thru a seperation phase. This is what normal children do when they are seperated from their parents for the first time.
My child felt unsafe and often begged for me not to bring him to the center. My child was there for 2 1/2 months and I ended up losing my deposit. When I politely asked the director to end his stay, I was insulted by the staff member who was handling my son. I guess she was reprimanded for her actions. Nevertheless, I was told that she continued her employment there and I never followed up, in terms of whether she got appropriate training or not. Since then, my son has been attending another school, and has been doing well. He has slight behavioral issues, but these issues never warranted a psych. evaluation. I will end this by saying, they need to train staff in dealiing with all types of children.

I've come to a number of daycares in Wappingers Falls and Fishkill, and this is the best daycare I've found so far in the area. My kids actually love to go to this place. The owner really takes a great care of my kids and provides them with caring, nurturing environment. Although the place is small, it's neat and clean. I like the fact that the owner makes the effort to take all the kids out the house every day during the summer time. One of the things I like the most about this place is that it's not in the main drag (quiet and safe) and the owner is very consistent when it comes to disciplining the kids. She is also very friendly and easy to talk to.

this school has done wonders for my child. But, i must say that i have encountered a few issues with the staff, they dont give you much notice as to what's going to happen next. for ex. if they are closing early they will tell you the hight before. now the reason i put my child in day care is cause i have no other alternative so if they decide to close then what am i supposed to do especialy if i'm told te night before.

Most child care centers are operated in high regards to the regulations put forth my local city, county, and state rules. However some facilities have been found negligent in the past. When evaluating a child care center ask quesions about the age of infants and children accepted, drop in childcare policies, and what childcare solutions are available in your price range. Childcare forms often ask questions about vouchers, tax credits and household income to determine what the rates and overall costs to you are. Childcare workers are ofen certified and highly qualified and licensed to provide assistance to any situation you might need.
