*****  Great place for kids to be
by Mommy of 3 on March 18th, 2010
on Kidz Playhouse
I have two children enrolled here. The staff is upbeat and helpful. My children are happy and many times my oldest tells me they don't want to go home, they want to stay. Absolutely love it and highly recommend.

I give thumbs up to this daycare. Me being a first time, and single father i was kind of nervous about leaving my newborn son with strangers. this center was recommended to me from a friend and i have absoultey no problems. They are well upkeep and clean. there are very respectable class teachers and infant providers. The weekly price is cheap but its not expensive. they say u pay for what u get but this place is well liked by me and my son which has been there for his first 6 months. I give my praises to the owner, Pandora and i thank u for support.
*****  EXCELLENT SCHOOL
by CalTen555 on July 7th, 2009
on Exploration Station
Exploration Station has been a great school for my son.
He has been there since he was 3. Now he is 4. He does not start preschool until this Aug. But he can write his name very well, can count up to 29 and can add. He seems to know a lot of letters and writes some. He knows several shapes such as oval, octagon, square, etc. He knows the different types of coins, body parts, etc. Every time we noticed a weakness, we talk to the teacher and the teacher is very responsive, supportive and seems to care about our son. He still has a lot to learn, but he is advancing pretty fast. Originally when I first moved to Joplin, I had my son at different school and noticed that he was reverting and misbehaving within couple of weeks. We took him out of that school right away. Once we had him attend Exploration station, he started behaving and started doing very well. So far we had a really good experience with the school. This is a very inexpensive school compare to his originally school my son attended. Yet the education is excellent.
*****  IF YOU DONT CARE WHO DOES

on Today's Child Learning Center
I AM SO HAPPY I WAS ABLE TO WRITE A REVIEW I JUST TOOK MY CHILD OUT OF THIS DAYCARE IN MARCH 09 BECAUSE THEY DO NOT CLEAN GOOD. THE KIDS DO NOT LEARN ANYTHING AND RUN AROUND PLAYING ALL DAY. I HAVE SEEN THE OLDER KIDS FROM 1-5 OR 6 UPSTAIRS UNATTENDED WHILE THE STAFF SAT ON THE PHONE. I WAS REALLY UNHAPPY WHEN I SAW A LIL BOY SCREAMING LIKE SOMEONE HIT HIM THEN TO SEE HIM COMING OUT OF A ROOM WITH ONE OF THE STAFF MADE ME QUESTION WHAT SHE DID AND I CAN ONLY ASSUME. THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU POTTY TRAIN YOUR CHILD AND PUT GIRL CLOTHES ON BOYS IF YOU MAY HAVE FORGOTEN TO SEND EXTRA CLOTHES FOR THE DAY. I DO NOT LIKE MS KIVA AT ALL AND HAVE HAD OTHERS COMPLAIN ABOUT HER FUNKY ATTITUDE. I HOPE THEY CLOSE DOWN SOON BUT YOU GET WHA

When I went to tour this school everything looked wonderful. The teachers were all young, and most did not have college degrees, but everyone was over friendly. My child is now in this center and I cannot wait to find another one! I believe the teachers for the older children from the pre 2 room to the school age are fine, however; for the younger ones it is absolutely unbelievable! I went to pick my child up one day and saw a teacher in the baby room pic a baby up by it's arms! And I feel as though the closing director is always trying to rush you out of the building towards close. As soon as I find another place I am leaving. I would not recommend this facility to anyone with young children!
*****  Good Food & Great Teachers
by PolkaMamma on February 9th, 2009
on Raintree Learning Community
The teachers are very knowledgable, professional, and really care about the kids. They make everything exciting. And the food is amazing! It's healthy and it tastes great. I like that my daughter eats good food at school. She is even trying more veggies at home now!

HORRIBLE! The school changed teachers mid semester and didn't even tell the parents! The adults are rude to both the kids as well as the parents. The owner is a money hungry woman who only cares about getting your check not your children! Not to mention my daughter hasn't even been taught to spell her name right. We work with her at home but as working parents we expect to get what we pay for. EDUCATION! this is nothing but an overpriced daycare! PARENTS BEWARE!

*****  Dirty and bad child care techniques

on Bee Brite Learning Center
I was very disappointed upon visiting the Bee Brite Learning Center in Ofallon, Mo near McDonalds. There was an obvious mold stain on the ceiling and it smelled really strong with pinesole. I felt like I was getting light headed standing next to the "baby" room. Also, one of the child care providers had a tatoo of a naked lady on her arm. Very unprofessional. Also, I heard later from a friend who used to work there that whenever a child is screaming or acting out instead of redirecting the child the owner or another teacher will drag the child by the arm and shut them in the bathroom until they are quite. I will never ever take my child to bee brite and I advise other parents to do the same thing.

Child Care Information

Most child care centers are operated in high regards to the regulations put forth my local city, county, and state rules. However some facilities have been found negligent in the past. When evaluating a child care center ask quesions about the age of infants and children accepted, drop in childcare policies, and what childcare solutions are available in your price range. Childcare forms often ask questions about vouchers, tax credits and household income to determine what the rates and overall costs to you are. Childcare workers are ofen certified and highly qualified and licensed to provide assistance to any situation you might need.
