The staff turnover is extremely high giving no stability for the little ones and a lot of favoritism to certain children. The building is also very cold.

It's been in business for 45 years for a reason, it's affordable and offers an excellent curriculum. Every head teacher has a Bachelors degree or at the least an Associates degree. The parents need to take an interest in their child's social and academic development to truly benefit.

Ms. Collins is the director of Bright Ideas Daycare. She is very caring and shows her compassion. She not only care for the well-being of the children, but the parents as well. I am truly blessed to have met her. God knew what he was doing when he put Ms. Collins in my life to care for my daughter.

BEST DAY CARE EVER

I AM A FIRST TIME MOTHER OF A 2 YEAR OLD BOY AND IT WAS SO HARD FOR ME TO FIND A DAY CARE THAT I COULD BE COMFORTABLE WITH WHILE ME AND MY FIANCE WENT TO WORK EVERYDAY. AFTER MEETING WITH THE OWNER OF THE LITTLE HEAVEN DAYCARE I WAS INSTANTLY SOLD. SHE DEMONSTRATED WITH SOME OF THE KIDS WHAT THEY DO ON A DAILY BASIS. A 4 YEAR OLD LITTLE GIRL SAT IN FRONT OF US AND RECITED HER ABC, NUMBERS, COLORS, AYS OF THE WEEK, AND MONTHS OF THE YEAR IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH. MY SON WAS 1 WHEN HE STARTER GOING THERE AND HE IS NOW 2. HE KNOWS EVERYTHING THAT 4 YEAR OLD LITTLE GIRL KNEW INCLUDING THE PARTS OF HIS BODY IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH. I WOULD RECCOMMEND THIS DAY CARE TO ANYONE WHO WANTS THEIR CHILD TO BE IN A SAME AND FUN LEARNING ENVIRONMENT THAT THEY AND TRUST. I GIVE LITTLE HEAVEN DAY CARE 6 THUMBS UP

A Great Place to learn and grow

Kids Connection is a Preschool service of First Assembly of God. Our purpose at Kids Connection is to give your child, in a loving environment, the proper experiences (through play and social interaction as well as structured activities) that will help him or her to reach their greatest potential. We want to not only prepare them for kindergarten but to work along with you to prepare them for life. Learning to share, take turns, accept children who are different, and daily problem solving skills are a way of life at Kids Connection. As they feel love and acceptance, they will learn!
We are here to help your child make these connections:
1. Physically – to grow in strength and coordination
2. Emotionally – to gain confidence in oneself
3. Socially – to acquire such skills necessary to relate well to others
4. Intellectually – to increase in knowledge and find that learning is fun, and
5. Spiritually- to learn to communicate with God and feel God’s love.
Kids Connection classes are structured with age groupings that are the same as their public school classes. Classes consist of 3 and 4 year old children who are two years away from Kindergarten, and 4 and 5 year old children who are one year away from attending Kindergarten. This age limit is consistent with Illinois law. The activities and materials of the classes are geared toward the interests and abilities of children their age. Care is taken to avoid pressure, but time for individual growth is provided through “free play” choices, small group activities and one-on-one attention.
Teachers and assistants are qualified by experience, by education, by a consistent Christian testimony, and by the local office of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
Registration for the 2009-2010 school year has begun at Kids Connection Preschool. Enrollment at Kids Connection is open to children ages 3-5. Students must be 3 or 4 years old before Sept. 1 to enroll for the 2009-10 school year. Contact Claudia Coveny for more information at (815) 436-9799 or email your questions to kidsconnection@firstassemblyjoliet.org or visit our website at http://www.firstassemblyjoliet.org/kids-connection-preschool

Most child care centers are operated in high regards to the regulations put forth my local city, county, and state rules. However some facilities have been found negligent in the past. When evaluating a child care center ask quesions about the age of infants and children accepted, drop in childcare policies, and what childcare solutions are available in your price range. Childcare forms often ask questions about vouchers, tax credits and household income to determine what the rates and overall costs to you are. Childcare workers are ofen certified and highly qualified and licensed to provide assistance to any situation you might need.
